On an annual basis the commercial committee at COAR selects a Commercial Transaction of the Year. The awardee is selected based on what the COAR member brought to the transaction including: professional skills, creativity, integrity, perseverance and value the transaction brought to the community. The requirements for the award are:
Listing or Selling Broker nominated that is a member of COAR
Broker played a significant beneficial impact on the community
The project is commercial in nature.
The project has significant beneficial impact on the community.
The transaction was completed by December 31 of the prior year.

The COAR Commercial Committee cordially invites all to attend our road trip to Prineville for 2017. Caroline Irving, EDCO Director to Prineville and Crook County has orchestrated 2 hours of CE with knowledge presented by EDCO, Crook County and the City of Prineville. This event at Meadow Lakes GC is on Friday March 3rd between 1-4 PM with lunch provided at 1:00, then 2 hours of CE and a brief marketing meeting to follow. Free to ED CLUB MEMBERS and $5.00 for all other attendees. Good juice in Prineville and this event shall be capped at 100 attendees. Please do not delay your registration with COAR!
Many of the awardees at Building a Better Central Oregon (BBCO) are commercial projects our members were involved in. BBCO looks for commercial and residential new construction and renovations in Deschutes, Jefferson or Crook Counties that have an econmic impact or helped beaitify their neighbothood. Also, projects that are truly unique! The submission deadline is April 1.
Commercial Real Estate Webcast March 2nd, 2017; 11AM
NAR will join Deloitte and Situs RERC in presenting the highlights of our joint report-Expectations and Market Realities in Real Estate 2017. The report is the product of four months of work by the three teams, focusing on global and U.S. macroeconomic activity, capital markets, commercial investments, property market fundamentals, and our joint outlook. The report will be released at the tail end of this month.
