CALL TO ARTISTS
"ANIMALS IN ART" 

Throughout the ages, animals have always been a meaningful subject in art. This February, the Ocean City Center for the Arts will feature an exhibit dedicated to the prevailing theme of Animals in Art. All media will be accepted, both 2D and 3D, including: oils, acrylics, watercolors, photography, mixed media, fiber arts, and sculpture. A portion of all sales from the exhibit will benefit the Worcester County Humane Society, a no-kill animal shelter.





JUDGE: Ursula Ehrhardt, Art History professor and art critic.

Prizes awarded for first place: $125, second place: $100, third place: $75, and 3 honorable mentions at the judge's discretion.

 

DROP OFF: Sunday Feb 1 from 2-4PM, Monday Feb 2 from 10AM-12PM   

PICK UP: Sunday March 1 from 2-4PM, Monday March 2 from 10AM-12PM   

 

ENTRY FEE: $10 per entry for members, $15 for non members 

 

EXHIBIT DATES: February 2- 28 

with opening reception on Friday February 6 from 5-7PM

 

ELIGIBILITY: Artist must be 18 years or older. Artist may submit up to two pieces of original artwork. Work must be never before shown at an ALOC judged show. All hanging artwork must be securely framed and properly wired for hanging. The maximum outside frame dimensions may not exceed 32"x40". Please  click here for complete entry requirements.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The ALOC has the right to refuse any artwork that does not meet its exhibit criteria. Artwork will be displayed on a space available basis.
