Show Your Commitment to Ethical Communication
IABC International has created a petition to publicly demonstrate its support of the  IABC Code of Ethics and what it means to live by the Code every day.

You don’t need to be a member of IABC to sign the petition - whether you're working in communications, public relations, marketing or advertising, or you're a supporter of IABC in any way, you can sign the petition and share the link with colleagues around the world to show our solidarity on this key principle.

March is Membership Month
March is Member Month at IABC! The theme for Member Month is:  Be an IABC VIP. We’ve put together a robust incentive program for new, renewing and referring members for this month:
  • 10 percent discount on international dues for new and renewing members, and we’ll waive the US$40 application fee.
  • Everyone who joins or renews during March will be entered to win a VIP World Conference prize package, including registration, hotel, car service and more. 
  • Members who refer new members to join IABC will be entered to win a US$500 Visa gift card for every new or lapsed/reinstated member who lists them as a referral source.

Congratulations Laurie Lashbrook

Congratulations to longtime IABC London member Laurie Lashbrook (fourth in from the left), on her 2017 Women of Excellence Award!

Laurie was recognized in the Entrepreneurs category as a champion for entrepreneurship, an outspoken advocate for women in business, and a dedicated leader in building the local economy.

The 2017 Women of Excellence Award Gala will take place on May 17 at the London Convention Centre.

The conference is called Breakthrough Communications and will have a range of guest speakers addressing topics ranging from how to break through the noise in a busy digital world to how to break through in your communications career.

A Recap of January's IABC & LRFP Sold-Out, Behind the Scenes Look at the "SickKids Vs."  Campaign

Last month the main architects behind the SickKids VS. campaign paid a visit to IABC London to talk about their experiences with the provocative campaign.

 Lori Davison, the Vice-President of Brand Strategy and Communications at SickKids teamed up with Peter Ignazi of Cossette, their agency partner to take something great, and somehow make it better.

 Davison started her presentation by mentioning that their previous campaigns “Better Tomorrow” and “Unpause” had been very well-received. Not only was SickKids voted by Strategy Magazine to be a top five brand in Canada, but they also saw an improvement in brand equity and donations in 2014 and 2015.
