FEATURED SPEAKER MASHA GESSEN
We are proud to announce that the conference will include an appearance by noted Russian and American journalist, activist, and author Masha Gessen. Throughout the 1990s, Gessen covered the transition in the former Soviet Union and the wars in former Yugoslavia. She has been head of U.S. News and World Report's Moscow bureau since 2001, and has reported on LGBT rights, the Russian intelligentsia, and medical genetics. Her books include the international bestseller The Man Without a Face: The Unlikely Rise of Vladimir Putin.
