REGISTER NOW FOR KIDS VALENTINE'S NIGHT IN!
Kids Valentine's Night at the Museum
Friday, February 14
5:30 - 9:30 pm
Ages 5 and up (age 4 accepted with an older sibling)

Don't worry about finding a sitter this Valentine's Day - the Children's Museum of NH is hosting a fun night for kids so you can go out and enjoy a quiet dinner!

We have a great night planned that includes a scavenger hunt, take-home creative activities, cool maker stations, and time to play throughout the museum's two floors of exhibits. Pizza, fruit, water and juice will be served for dinner, and everyone can decorate a cookie for dessert. 

Cost: $30 per child for first child registered; $25 for each additional child within the same family. 

Advance reservations are required and only 30 children can participate. Please call 603-742-2002 to register before all the spots are gone!
MEET BROTHER & SISTER BEAR THIS SATURDAY

Brother and Sister Bear
Books Alive: Meet Brother and Sister from the Berenstain Bear family
Saturday, February 1
10 am - 2 pm
 
Bring your kids to meet two favorite characters from the beloved book series by Jan and Stan Berenstain! The costumed Brother and Sister Bear characters will make frequent appearances for hugs and hi-fives, and there will be other bear-themed activities for kids to explore. 
This event is included with regular paid admission and FREE for museum members.
 
Please note that all Children's Museum of NH Clubhouse Level members are invited to an evening meet & greet with the bears on Friday evening, January 31, from 5:30-7 pm at the museum.

WEEKLY OPPORTUNITY FOR YOUNG MAKERS!
Fridays, February 7 and 14
3:00 - 4:45 pm
Ages 6-12

This new program lets kids flex their creative muscle as they make or break things using real tools and cool materials in an open studio setting.
There are four different stations to explore: construction, toolbox, fiber and electronics. There will also be a special project or material available every week.

Cost: $8 per session for museum members, $10 per session for non-members. Discount cards are available for multiple visits: $30/4 visits for members, $35/4 visits/non-members. This is a drop-off program but parents are also welcome to stay and work with their child.
COME TO DOLLAR DEAL NIGHT NEXT FRIDAY
Dollar Deal Night 
Friday, February 7
5:30 - 8 pm

Join us for this month's Dollar Deal Night. The museum will be open from 5:30 - 8 pm at just $1 per person so families can play together before bedtime. Dollar Deal Nights are sponsored by the Citizens Bank Foundation on the first Friday night of each month.
EXPLORING OUR WAY AUTISM PROGRAM
Sunday, February 9
10 am - 12 noon

Special this month: Dr. Laura Rubin and Dr. Lauren Cook of Portsmouth Neuropsychology will be in attendance to talk with parents informally.

Families with children on the autism spectrum are invited to enjoy the Museum on the second Sunday of each month for two hours before the Museum opens to the public. There is no cost an preregistration is not required.
FEBRUARY SCHOOL VACATION FUN
The Museum will be open both Mondays of school vacation weeks (February 17 and 24, 10 am - 5 pm). 

Special Studio Projects on Friday, February 21 and 28: Get ready for a fun "maker" experience both days, as we bring out all kinds of tools and materials for kids to experiment and create with. All activities are included with paid admission and free for members.
ALL ARE WELCOME AT OUR ALZHEIMER'S CAFE

Thursday, February 20
2:00 - 4:00 pm

People living with Alzheimer's Disease or dementia are invited to come with their family and caregivers for coffee and friendly conversation. This is a free program that meets the third Thursday of each month and no reservations are required. For more information, please contact Paula Rais
MEET UP AT WEE ONES & FIRST FRIENDS PROGRAMS
Wee Ones Wednesdays
February 5 & 12 (no classes 2/19 and 2/26)
Drop-in sessions at 9:45 & 10:45 am

Wee Ones Wednesdays is a weekly drop-in program for children ages 2-4. Children and a parent or caregiver enjoy art, music, movement and conceptual learning with a new theme each week. Cost per adult/child pair: $6 for museum members, $9 for non-members. Additional children in a family are $5 each for members, $8 each for non-members.

First Friends Playgroup & Baby Storytime
February 5 & 12 (no group 2/19 and 2/26)
Drop-in between 9:30 - 11 am 

First Friends Playgroup for children ages 6 months - two years is a drop-in opportunity for parents and babies/toddler to play together in the Early Learning Landscape area. Program is free for museum members and regular museum admission applies for non-members. 
ENJOY STORYTIME SUNDAYS AT 2 PM
Storytime with Meredith and Stu
Storytime with Meredith & Stu
Sundays at 2 pm

Enjoy songs and stories related to a different topic each week in our colorful classroom. Experience guide educator Meredith Lamothe and museum volunteer Stu Dias make Storytime fun for all ages. Included in paid admission/free for members.
ADULT MAKER NIGHTS BEGIN THIS MONTH!

Kids arent' the only ones who love to be creative! We're cooking up a new series of evening maker workshops when adults age 18+ can come and explore a variety of cool projects and new skills, led by talented local makers. Dates and times to be announced shortly!

Ages 8-12:  3:30 - 4:30 pm

 

$10 per pair for museum members

$20 per pair for non-members

 

Children and adults pair up in this friendly competition to see who can make the best pizza! Everyone is provided with a variety of pizza bases and topping ingredients, and each team has one hour to prep and bake, then share their creation with our panel of judges.
