AARP Free Tax Help
Free tax help for low to middle income taxpayers will be available at the library. Appointments will be scheduled starting January 12th by calling 211 or the library at 845-878-6121 ext. 15.
PaintNite Fundraiser
Thursday, March 8 @ 7 PM

Food & Toy Drives Were a Great Success! Thank You!
The Patterson Food Pantry and Toys for Tots Drives were a huge success with both bins filled to the brim with donations. Thank you for helping to give our neighbors-in-need a happy holiday!

Trivia Night
Friday, February 2 @ 7 PM
Snow Date: February 9 @ 7 PM
Enjoy a fun-filled night at another great trivia event! Come solo or bring a group of friends and play to win great prizes. Hudson Valley Trivia will host and bring Trivia Night to another level with music and questions on the big screen. Ages 18+ only. Registration required.

Children age 3+ can stay in the library for “Fun Friday” and children 8+ can play trivia in the main library with the Youth Services staff while their parents play. Children must also be registered.

Can you solve a cube? The Cubing Club is the place to practice, learn tips and try your hand at competitive speed cubing. Cube as fast as you can! *Participants should be able to solve a cube before joining this club. We recommend participants to bring their own cube if possible. For ages 9 and up.

Winter Story Times
Beginning week of January 15

Baby Brilliance
Ages up to 15 months
Start the day with exciting stories and songs that incorporate finger-play and rhymes to prepare your baby’s brain for reading!
*Caregivers must remain in program

Little Steps
Ages 16-23 months
Bring your favorite grown-up to this awesome class! Finger-play, silly songs, and free play will get your baby laughing. We will explore new stories while encouraging language and motor skills development.
*Caregivers must remain in program

Talented Toddlers
Ages 2-3
We’ll engage your toddler with exciting stories paired with crafts, experiments, and games designed to encourage participation between caregiver and child. Your child will learn letter recognition, sounds, and new words through fun songs and rhymes.
*Caregivers must remain in program

Junior Geniuses
Ages 3-5
With longer stories and more involved crafts and activities, this class aims to increase your child’s attention span and improve fine motor skills. We’ll be singing, playing games, and doing crafts as we travel through tales.
 
Beginning January 22

Pre-K/Age 4 and Kindergarten
Four-year-olds who are ready for more and kindergarteners will explore the five early literacy practices - read, sing, talk, write, and play - in this brand new class.

Tuesday, January 9 10:30 AM
Ages 2-5
Your child’s natural love of music will shine through in this class, where they will sing, move, play instruments, and hear stories. At the same time, they will be developing their growing language and social skills. *Caregivers must remain in program

At Mahopac Library
Friday, January 12 @ 6:30 PM
Ages 13-17
Bring your instrument, bring your voice, bring your talent, and bring your friends to the first Teen Talent night hosted by libraries across Putnam County. Our first Teen Talent Night will take place at Mahopac Library. Come represent your library at this multi-library event. There will be a basket of prizes for one lucky participant. *Must be present to win. Performers must be ages 13 and up and spectators must be ages 10 and up. (Snow date: January 19)
