Greetings!
A very successful January enabled us to start 2018 in fine fashion. Our second annual "For Veterans, by Veterans" Comedy Night was a wonderful evening that was enjoyed by all. We are grateful to our sponsors, attendees, Treehouse Comedy Productions and Vazzano's Four Seasons for a remarkable result.
February will now be kicked off with our traditional Kiwanis Super Bowl Party and we anticipate a terrific Valentine's Day filled with love and gratitude. A
ll of us at Homes for the Brave
,
Female Soldiers: Forgotten Heroes
, and
Waldorf House
are so very thankful for your support. I
hope you enjoy this edition of
The Perimeter.

Program Highlights
|
Homes for the Brave is always working to connect with our community, whether it be legislators, companies, groups, or individuals. This month, we
participated in "The State of Community Nonprofits", a discussion with legislators, at
LifeBridge Community Services in Bridgeport
. Current staff member Milton moved the audience with his honest story of military service to homelessness to employment and independence. "When I got there, I felt like I had been there for months when I had been there for hours." "Homes for the Brave saved my life." - Milton Griffin
