Rhonda Musak, Acting Coach

As an acting coach, I help actors unlock the magic in their acting.
Many teachers only tell you "what" you need to work on but don't tell you "how" which IS the key to getting better quicker. With Rhonda you will receive strong, effective techniques that will give you straight forward ideas and answers that will serve you in the professional acting world.

I was surprised last year in early fall when I ran into someone on my emailing list who commented that they had not received my August Newsletter and...had I removed them from my mailing list?!?

Goodness, NO! I would never do that. But CAUGHT, I was! I did not send the August Newsletter. And the same has been true for January.

Way too much going on!

For starters -- Leap with Passion! 5 fabulous Leap workshops covering NYC, Chicago, Media, PA & Live/Online. Shout out to my fantastic hosts: Scott, Cristin & Courtney at Green Room Studio in Chicago, Angie at TwyckenSpace in Media, PA and Orietta at Theaterlab

Whether a host or a participant, THANK YOU to all for 5 outrageously inspirational Leap workshops!

I also attended APAP this year for the first time. YOW! It had been explained to me that APAP was something that really needed to be experienced, and truly it was. Part networking event, part conference, part expo and part showcase, the 5-day event was sprawling and expansive and I was thrilled to meet so many passionate artists and presenters doing their thing in huge and glorious ways. I'll definitely be back in 2019 with my solo show.

Speaking of which...2 more performances coming up!

You may notice that my Newsletter is shrinking! Yep.  I took my blog off line in the fall of 2017. And I ended both by Book Club for Actors and Drop-In Acting Class in December 2017.

It was honestly a bit scary to end these offerings, but now that it's done I know the timing was right. All of these programs have been truly  wonderful, but now it's time to do something brand sparkling new.

I'm in the process of realigning Art & Soul Acting into that "something new"...so new that I'm not even sure what it will be and I'm not even sure that it will still be called Art & Soul Acting!

The acting world continues to change and I am beyond excited to find new ways to help you, my dear and lovely actors, meet the challenges of today's acting world.

So stick with me as I figure and sort, plot and plan and create something new and (I hope!) dazzling.

In the meantime, come see me for private coaching in person, via Skype or by phone.

Wishing you a month of wonders!

The Key to a Great Monologue Relationship, The Start of a Love Affair
by Rhonda S. Musak

I started out writing this week's article by focusing on where exactly an actor can find really great monologues. But then I realize that there's a lot to be said about what actually makes a monologue great. And not only great in general, but specifically great for the actor who is doing the piece.

The search for these audition gems can often send actors spinning off into outer space...
