Love is in the Air
Winter is almost over and for the first time in years, it feels as if Winter never really began! To be honest, I miss a good healthy snowman building, snowball fight, sledding, bundling up, and having a great reason for a sweet hot chocolate, or rich thick homemade soup and a hunk of french bread for dipping.
The truth is, you don't really need a good reason for the nurturing, belly warming foods of winter, but the guilt lies in the fact that we didn't earn it with outdoor activity. Perhaps that is why Frog Temple has been all abuzz this season!! Mat classes are overflowing, private and semi private lessons are filling the studio, everyone seems full of positive energy and drive.
Perhaps we are all feeling that, possibly, bathing suit season is closer than we think this year! Or maybe its the inspiration of our beautiful, new home here on Cortland Ave. that has brought and kept you coming in to Frog. Whatever it is, we thank you, our new clients, and our loyal and dedicated existing clients. You all have made our move such an easy transition.
Thanks for being true and working so hard on your Pilates practices. Who knows, maybe we will have a white Valentine's Day! Bring on Spring, and finish your soup!
Don't forget to breathe...
Spotlight on... Allison Fall Allison is back from her adventures in Berlin! We are so happy to have her teaching again at Frog. Look for her on our schedule. What is it about Pilates that keeps you committed and passionate?
I am inspired by the body, How to function in everyday life without pain. To be prepared to perform at anytime and have strength and flexibility to do anything I can imagine. Pilates has continually been a part of my own body practice. To be able to share what I have learned about the body, and how to conquer injuries and how to work deeply and effectively is my passion.
What is your favorite thing to do when you're not teaching at Frog Temple?
I have an artistic practice that I continually dive into daily. I love to write about new ideas and discover what is important about having an artistic voice and how to share that voice with others.
