First Eucharist Families
The families of children preparing for their First Holy Communion recently came together for a beautiful Candle Mass celebration.
If your family missed the First Eucharist Parent Meetings held on January 30th and 31st, the books and information will be sent home with your child this coming week so be on the lookout for it.
Grades 2-5 had the opportunity to pray before the Blessed Sacrament in church this week. Deacon Bill Jamieson led them through a beautiful prayer service and provided an excellent explanation to the children.
Eucharistic Adoration is held at St. Paul every Tuesday from 12:00 noon until 7:00 p.m. Benediction. You are welcome to come and pray during these hours and to bring your children to spend some quiet time with Jesus.
An hour of praise and worship before the Blessed Sacrament is held once a month from 7:15 - 8:15pm in the Church. Confession, prayer teams and refreshments will be available. The next date is Sunday, February 19th. This is a beautiful Lenten opportunity for all families. See flyer below for details.
8th Grade News
On Sunday, February 12th at 3:45 p.m. there will be a meeting for Confirmation candidates and their sponsors. If your child's sponsor is unable to attend, we ask that one parent accompany the student to this workshop. This session will be immediately followed by the Mass of Enrollment for students and their families at 6 p.m. in the church.
All Confirmation candidates are required to write a 'letter to our pastor' requesting to be confirmed. Students will be given instructions about this letter during class on March 6th/7th. Each student will then be assigned an interview time with a member of the pastoral staff. Interviews are scheduled during class time on April 10th/11th and April 24th/25th. Attendance is extremely important during these last months of class.
