First Eucharist Families
The families of children preparing for their First Holy Communion recently came together for a beautiful Candle Mass celebration.
If your family missed the First Eucharist Parent Meetings held on January 29th and 30th, the books and information will be sent home with your child this coming week so be on the lookout for it.
Catechists Leslie McMillin, Pam Webb and Julie Granger (not pictured) presented socks filled with toiletries and basic care items for the homeless to Dr. Chad Audi, president of the Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries. This was a Christmas Outreach Project for 4th Graders who attend Religious Ed on Tuesdays. The children also made specially crafted cards full of love, hope and prayer.
Grades 6-8 had the opportunity to participate in a beautiful prayer, praise and worship session before the Blessed Sacrament in church this week. Fr. Craig Marion and Deacon Bill Jamieson led the services and "Surrender," the St. Paul praise and worship band, provided stirring music. The children participated with enthusiasm and many commented about how much they enjoyed this opportunity.
Eucharistic Adoration is held at St. Paul every Tuesday from 12:00 noon until 7:00 pm Benediction. You are welcome to come and pray during these hours and to bring your children to spend some quiet time with Jesus.
An hour of praise and worship before the Blessed Sacrament with music by "Surrender" is held once a month from 7:15 - 8:15 pm in the Church. Confession, prayer teams and refreshments will be available. The next date is Sunday, February 25th. This is a beautiful Lenten opportunity for all families. See flyer below for details.
