Marcy Lombard
Memorial Art Show and Sale
Thursday February 23rd from 1 to 4pm

Hello Everyone.   I hope you will find time  on Thursday to stop by and enjoy our one day special event honoring local artist Marcy Lombard. Marcy passed away recently and her family very generously donated all her art supplies, easels, brushes and much more to The Open Studio. Then they asked if we would like to have what was left of her finished work...beautiful abstract watercolors and some really unique pieces she called "tube art".    We were all so taken with her amazing work we decided to do a memorial show and fundraiser sale so her work could be seen and taken home for others to enjoy.

We have had a few pieces in the gallery and they always make people smile.   Don't miss the chance to enjoy all her work spread out in the gardens and to choose one or more to bring all that delightful color and light home with you.  Please help spread the word by sharing the Facebook event!

See you there.   Evelyn

Host Children's Visit!

Holding true to our motto of promoting Creativity and Healthy Living, the Open Studio Pottery and The Real Juice Bar teamed up to host a field trip visit from the local Terra Nichol pre-school children.
The children, who were ages 2-5, were able to observe and get a hands on demonstration of throwing a vase on the pottery wheel, followed by a tasting of some healthy smoothies at the Juice Bar. There were some wonderful smiles shared by the kids and their parents and everyone had a great time.
