FROM THE DIRECTOR

Susan Longhenry

Dear Friends,

Happy February!  We're still exhilarated by last Friday's Art of Wine event, which was just about the most fun any of us have ever had at a fundraiser.  Thank you to everyone who braved the snow to join us for that very special evening.  Including, especially, the artists, art donors and volunteers who made it all happen.  It was a great night.

The Harwood's talented and dedicated team has created an equally exciting February for you, with everything from a Valentine's Day artmaking extravaganza for the whole family to a screening of short films nominated for 2015 Academy Awards.  We're continuing our partnership with SOMOS for its Winter Writers Series, and - last but not least - opening a series of terrific exhibitions on Saturday, February 14.  We'll offer free admission that day - our Valentine's Day gift to you!

See you at the Harwood!

THANK YOU FOR A FANTASTIC ART OF WINE!

Art of Wine on January 30
Think a snowstorm can stop Taosenos from celebrating and supporting the Harwood's exhibitions? Think again! On January 30, as the snow piled up outside, the Harwood welcomed 160 people to the most successful
Art of Wine event yet. Participants had a terrific time engaging with J. Matt Thomas' Exquisite Taos installation, enjoying tastings from six wineries, experiencing behind-the-scenes tours, and bidding during Art of Wine's silent auction.  That auction raised $24,000 for the Harwood's exhibitions!  Thank you to Co-Chairs Lucile Grieder, Dora Dillistone and Linda Warning; to John Rush and Sherry Parsons for connecting us with wineries, the Great Chefs of Taos and the Taos High School Culinary Arts Program; to Constellation Wines & Southern Wines and Spirits;  to J. Matt Thomas for a perfect Taos-style celebration of creativity, to  Arjuna Capital for helping to sponsor the event, to the auction donors who made it possible to raise those funds for the Harwood's exhibitions, and to the Taos Winter Wine Festival for letting us join their party.  Stay tuned for Art of Wine 2016!
