CEO Message to the Community
Friend!

Good morning. I hope you had a relaxing Labor Day holiday weekend.

On Tuesday morning I had an opportunity to attend the Delaware Rabbis and Cantors (DERECH) meeting at Adas Kodesch Shel Emeth. It is very special and meaningful to live in a community where our synagogues work together in building community.

Federation's Israel & Overseas Committee met on Wednesday evening under the leadership of Co-Chairs, Michelle Margules and Gael Syzmanski. We are planning a full year of Israel engagement programming to build a living bridge with our spiritual homeland.

On Thursday, Community Shlicha, Daniella Buchshtaber told her story and personal journey to Federation staff at our Lunch and Learn presentation. Daniella is a wonderful addition to our community and a complement to the professional staff.

More than 60 community leaders will be meeting later this morning for Board Excellence Leadership Training, facilitated by Sheila Bravo, CEO of the Delaware Alliance for Nonprofit Advancement (DANA). This annual leadership development program is being coordinated by Federation and partially funded by the Beau Biden Leadership Fund.

Please be reminded that our offices will be closed on Monday and Tuesday in observance of Rosh Hashana.

We Grow Stronger TOGETHER.

Shabbat Shalom and L'Shana Tova ,
Seth J. Katzen
Chief Executive Officer
