C ody Carroll TOPS Field
Shoots 71 and records two Eagles
When asked why he played and once again is playing on the NFJG TOUR? Cody Carroll said" Playing NFJG events is a great way to maintain your competitive edge through competing in the 1-day and 2-day events. Jacksonville is one of the most competitive junior golf cities in the country and the access to great golf courses and competition for relatively cheap is something to take advantage of."

Cody will compete in the Greater Jacksonville Junior Championship at Eagle Harbor Golf Club as well as some one day events before he reports to UNF to start his college ventures. Cody won the 2018 FJT Major at Don Veller shooting 8-under par in the 54-hole event. Cody was the 2016-2017 FHSAA State Champion and a four time NFJG TOUR Web.com Junior Players Tour Champion. Cody's resume also includes 12 top-3 finishes in FJT events and five top-5 finishes in AJGA events.
Fernandina Open
Amelia River Golf Club
June 3, 2018

Great job to everyone who participated in the first ever “ Fernandina Open”.

This one day event held at Amelia River Golf Course was truly a huge success. The course is a player favorite and I know many were disappointed they already had other tournament and personal plans set when I announced the event on short notice. With the “ Public Trust Invitational” postponed until October a void was created and I felt the need to fill the void with a short notice event at beautiful Amelia Island. I’m glad I did! Richard Vermut wrote “Great event this past weekend. Amelia River is a fun course.” Richard hit the nail right on the head. Golf is supposed to be fun, but there are those courses that just beat you up hole after hole, sucking your fun energy out of your system. Amelia River gives you good feels all the way around the course, so thanks for playing. One thing for sure the feel of weather certainly was about 40-60 degrees warmer, which got the staff talking. We’ve played Amelia River for the past five years (normally January - February) and only once was it above 45 degrees, so it was nice to see the course when it was green and warm.

The Florida Junior Tour Team Championship

Teams will soon be determined and announced. How are the teams determined? Answer: The NFJG TOUR Staff will vote and select six players to be teamed together ( 3 boys and 3 girls). Performance at this years Match Play Championship and Player of the year points plus staff input will determined two other teams (girls and boys). These selections and announcements will come out the day following the Dr. Gordon Ira Golf Classic. Good Luck!

LET"S MAKE OUR FILELDS
FOR THE SUMMER TOUR
THE STRONGEST EVER!

Together we can make this happen!

INVITE A FRIEND and let’s make our Summer Tournament Series events the strongest they have ever been. By doing so, we will put together some awesome and strong fields and create some great upper level golf opportunity for all of our players.

As the school year comes to an end and the Summer Tournament Series heats up with a line-up of outstanding junior events that would make any level junior tour envious, we must keep in mind that the earlier we sign up for an event the better off we all will be. New players are steadily signing up for the Summer TOUR, so act accordingly. Please keep in mind our field sizes will be dictated by the time allotted by each golf course hosting an event. The Summer Tournament Series events will be, register on a first come, first serve basis, so it’s never too early to register.
