Jessica will be with us on Saturday,  March 12 for a day of spinning and crochet classes.   Start the day with basic spinning at  11:00 a.m.  Jessica will get you started with your wheel or spindle! (if you don't have one, we have several spindles available for purchase and some wheels you can borrow for the class). In a very short time you can be making your very own yarn!  Class fee of $28 includes an hour of instruction and a good supply of  natural long-s taple wool perfect for a beginning spinner. Plan to stay longer to practice your new skills.

At  1:00 Jessica will switch gears, pick up the crochet hook and lead us on a  Double Layer  Braided Cowl adventure!  Choose from an assortment of colo rs in one of two different yarns: The fee for class is $20.  Add materials fee of $21.95 using Queensland Rustic Tweed (one hank), or $13.10 using Plymouth
Encore.

End  y our day with a more advanced spinning class, and learn a special art yarn  technique. Begin with your thick and thin singles, then ply to create Bee Hive Yarn. Your friends will be buzzing about your sweet creation!

A new twist on yarn! Cottonation is a 100% cotton yarn in a tape shape. It might look different, but it knits up just like the round yarns you are used to. The benefit?  It doesn't split! Cast on the Age of Brass and Steam bandanna with Joan on Thursday,
March 17 at 1:00 p.m.  The class is free with the purchase of one ball of yarn (and we have 2 great colorways for St. Patty's Day!)

How about a Nettle Milkshake? No, really. The yarn is Nettle Grove, a DK weight b lend of cotton, nettle, linen and silk in lovely Spring colors. The pattern is Milkshake Reversible Scarflet. Here's a great combination for the season change, a lightweight scarf, just enough to keep the cool evening breeze off your neck. Cast on with Joan on Friday,  March 25th at 11:00  and enjoy this introduction to lace in a reversible scarf. Class fee of $32.50 includes one ball of Nettle Grove yarn in your choice of color. We'll get you started and through a couple of the pattern repeats. Come back when you're finished and learn all about blocking lace!

Learn to Knit/Learn to Crochet with Judy on Tuesdays in March and get a headstart on beautiful hand-crafted finery and gifts. We'll tailor classes to your schedule and make sure that you are prepared to succeed with your first project. $20/hr.  Call now to reserve your time with Judy at 11 am or 2 pm on Tuesdays.

Spinning Day
Saturday,  19th
2:00 - 5:00 pm

Spinners Unite on  March 19! Drop in for spin-in, about  2:00 p.m. If the weather's good we'll spin in the garden. If its not, we'll retreat to the usual haunt. Show us what you're spinning!

Tuesday Therapy
February 23rd
March 22nd
5 to 7 pm

We are all in need of some fiber therapy, after being house bound from KY weather for several weeks,  so bring your current project or start a new one. Feel free to bring snacks and we will just kick back and eat, laugh, have a good time, and hopefully do a little knitting and/or crocheting.

During our Pins and Needles Retreat the end of January, we made some wonderful new friends, and one in particular, Lori Hetes, makes fabric checkbook covers, business card holders, wallets, etc. on Pocketique, her Etsy site.  Judy has one of Lori's vertical credit card holders and the business card holder in her purse right now and loves them!  Check it out for yourself.
