August 2017

Hours of Operation:

and Saturdays.

Closed Sundays and Wednesdays.

The dog days of summer are upon us,
those lazy days meant for an early morning walk,
a tall glass of iced tea, corn and tomatoes from the garde n,  and a quick cotton project on the needles.
Ginger actually loves these days when the cool tile floor is refreshing, the ceiling fans create a gentle breeze and the world slows down for a bit.   R elax, breathe deep, and enjoy the music of the cicadas.

Foxy Scarf makes a wonderful Christmas gift. Judy will help you start yours. So quick and easy you will want to make several. Size 9 needles and alpaca/ merino wool yarn can be purchased prior to class.
$20 class fee does not include yarn and needles.
2 pm on Saturday, August 5th.
Class repeated on Friday, August 18th at 2 pm.

Remember when you cast on for a circular project and the instructions said "Be careful not to twist"?  The Moebius Bowl starts with twists on purpose! This is a fun little project that can be completed in one afternoon. We use Gina yarn from Plymouth for beautiful striping effect. Two 50 gram balls ($6.25 each) will make 2 bowls.  Joan will get you started on  August 24 from  2:00-4:00 p.m. or on  August 31 (repeat).  Class fee is $20.  Bring size 8-9
16" circular needles or long DPN's.
