Knitspot Lace Scarf Patterns for Spring!
When you think of Spring/ Summer knitting do you think about scarves? Probably not unless you are frantically knitting them ahead of time, squirreling them away for the holidays. What about a lacy little something to accessorize your Spring trench?
Anne Hanson of Knitspot to the rescue! I love her lace patterns because she has such a range for the beginning lace knitter to the very advanced. We went through our arsenal and picked out Knitspot lace patterns that we feel would be challenging, but not infuriating. And Anne being the great gal that she is...includes the chart AND the words! So, there really is no excuse to not try out a Knitspot pattern! Scarves shown above (top, left to right): Boing Lace Scarf, Campanula Lace Scarf, Butternut Lace Scarf, (bottom, left to right) Fiddlehead Lace Scarf, Elm Row Lace Scarf, Gust Lace Scarf.

New at Bobbin's Nest Studio:
When the latest shipment of new Liberty colors arrived I was struck by Glacier. It is SO different than the other colorways Liberty is available in. I love the combination of lavender, green, cream, and grey. It's so sophisticated! It's like a warm spring day picking lavender in the fields of France!
Red Hot Blues is just fun! I love the boldness and the drama. It makes me think of red lipstick paired with blue jeans and an aubergine top. Sounds like a great outfit for a night out listening to jazz while sipping red wine and nibbling on tapas. |

COLOR STORY OF THE WEEK: Dreaming of Provence
This week's color story was based on the Glacier yarn we received from Classic Elite. We were so inspired by the mix of lavender, green, grey, and cream. It makes me want to pick lavender in the French countryside. On honeymoon in France, my husband and I were enthralled with the French planting lavender between the rows of grape fields. It made the whole winemaking experience somehow that much more romantic! The scent of lavender wafting through the fields bees buzzing between blossoms and grapevines and the hardworking wine maker, with purple-stained hands, sampling the fruit. Put a plate of goat cheese with fruit and a glass of Beaujolais in my hand... ...I am there!
