Settlers Crossing hosts the 3rd Annual Halfway to Bring a Friend Shopping event on Saturday, May 12. This "lite" version of their big November event features a 100 bag giveaway, a  Passport to Savings , awesome raffles, DJ and fun activities at the event tent and throughout Settlers Green.

It's the Annual Alton Weagle Day at Mt. Washington Auto Road on May 26! This event features the most unique ways you can make your way up the Auto Road to the top of Mount Washington! Alton Weagle himself made it up by car, on foot, walking backwards, blindfolded and finally pushing a wheelbarrow full of sugar…just to name a few. This day honors his spirit and all the camels, Segways and even the odd Pogo sticks that have been the first up the mountain.  

Believe in Books 5K Color Run is on May 26. Get blasted with color while you run or walk the course! Following the race there will be food and entertainment for the entire family, plus beer for the 21+ crowd. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers and all kids will receive a medal.

The Jackson Public Library invites you to the "Writing a Suspense Novel: Behind the Scenes" by New York Times bestselling author Lisa Gardner.
