Website  I Advice & Info   I  Awards  I  Blog  I  Meet Us  I   Win

Thanks to the initiative of celebrities such as BBC Radio 2's breakfast show host Chris Evans and Dr Michael Mosley from BBC 2's 'Trust Me I'm a Doctor' many of us are adopting a sugar free February. This is obviously great news and will encourage the healthy eating of many, if only just for one month.

We'd like to step things up a bit and get parents everywhere to join in with What's On 4's 'Get Fit For February'. We're looking at the wealth of activities that children can do, either as a family or in a club or class. Most importantly we're encouraging children to have fun and get fit without even realising it.

Get fit this February with diddi dance!

Do you have an active toddler at home who can't help but boogie when the music comes on? Why not try a local diddi dance class and help to encourage fitness in a fun way in your little one.

diddi dance classes are designed to engage and inspire children's own creativity using action songs, dancing games, fun exercises and props to our own original, funky music. Classes change themes every half-term, so join us for our next dance style Tap where we will learn to shuffle around the room like penguins!

Rugby For Little Ones?  Really?!

"Football is a gentleman's game played by hooligans, Rugby is a hooligans game played by gentlemen" Unknown.

 Why is this?
The two sports are both physically active and similar in their strategy, in fact Rugby evolved from "the beautiful game". In the current world the major differences can be found in their ethos and core values.
The Rugby Football Union (RFU) actively promotes its core values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship. These core values are treasured and pushed through at all levels from the England 1st XV to market leaders in children's development specialists like RUGGERBUGS.

Whilst RUGGERBUGS' core values differ slightly (FUN, Respect, Teamwork, Discipline and Camaraderie) our major focus is on "FUN". For us this is our most important core value and we can't emphasise how important it is. Coaches, children and parents alike should all be having FUN at our classes. Rugby is a FUN sport, so the development of their skills should be FUN as well.
