Funds Development Director
The USHJA Foundation is pleased to welcome Kate Cattani as the Foundation coordinator.
Kate hails from New Jersey and has been involved in equestrian sport for more than 10 years as groom and "horse show mom extraordinaire" to her daughter who rides competitively in the hunters and jumpers.
With a professional background in marketing and advertising, she hopes to help the Foundation generate greater awareness and continue to grow.
When not working, Kate enjoys spending time outside with her dog and visiting her horse at the barn, where all of the horses know her as the "treat lady." She's also pretty good with power tools and has a passion for refinishing and repurposing old furniture.
Kate will be working closely with Foundation Funds Development Director Bill Rube, as well as the entire Board of Directors. She will be at Week 6 of the Winter Equestrian Festival for the Palm Beach Spectacular Gala, so be sure to stop by the USHJA tent.
Apply for the $25,000 USHJA Foundation Hamel Scholarship for Further Education

The USHJA Foundation, through the generous support of the Hamel Family, offers USHJA members the opportunity to follow their dreams of higher education with a $25,000 scholarship.
The USHJA Foundation Hamel Scholarship for Further Education isn't just for recent high school graduates; it's open to any member who has been accepted to a college, graduate, professional, or trade school for the 2017 fall semester.
If you know someone who would be a fit, encourage them to apply. Applications are due April 30. For more information, click here

The first phase of the new United States Hunter Jumper Association Wheeler Museum exhibit, "Medals, Memories & Milestones: Great Moments in American Show Jumping," is open at the USHJA Headquarters in Lexington, Kentucky. The USHJA plans to continue expanding the exhibit into early 2017 to include interactive features, audio, video, and a catalog of books and articles on show jumping.
The exhibit follows the history of the United States Equestrian Team from its founding in 1950 through the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. On the national scene, the exhibit highlights the growth and importance for riders, owners and spectators of grand prix series, such as those organized by the American Grandprix Association and the United States Grand Prix League. The exhibit will also feature the history of course design and fun facts about special classes such as the Puissance and bygone pairs and "doubles and trebles" classes.
The USHJA Wheeler Museum is supported by individual donors to the
, especially USHJA Foundation Legacy Circle Founders Kenneth and Selma Garber, the Gochman Family, the Hallman Family and Merrylegs South, the Oberkircher Family, and Roger and Jennifer Smith.
