IPTV is recruiting Master Teachers that will partner with IPTV in creating model lessons that are cross curricular with STEM components. These model lessons will be presented in June at a hands-on training that will provide learning and networking opportunities for educators across the state.

Mystery of Missing Malaysian Plane Deepens

Climate Change Brings Rising Sea Levels to South Florida

In recent years, increased flooding has been a stark wake up call for people living in South Florida. Projections calculated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers indicate sea levels will rise 9 to 24 inches by 2060 in South Florida.

American Stories: Teens and Immigration
Grade Range: 5-8

 

In this blended lesson supporting literacy skills, students watch documentary video about four teens who immigrated to the United States. Students develop their literacy skills as they explore a social studies focus on the factors that drive immigration and the challenges immigrants face in the United States, particularly in learning English. During this process, they read informational text, learn and practice vocabulary words, and explore content through videos and interactive activities.
