Meet an Astronaut!

Born and raised near Mt. Ayr, Iowa, Dr. Peggy Whitson completed two six-month tours of duty aboard the International Space Station and was the first female commander of the orbiting science laboratory. Meet her this Friday via the ICN, but be sure to sign up soon, registration closes Wednesday.

The Questioning Cube Game is designed to help elementary school students gain reading comprehension competencies. In the game students practice asking questions about short stories or passages of expository prose. Cyberchase, Hacker has ripped out a piece of train track, and the Cybersquad must use what they know about fractions, measurement, and decimals to find a way to repair the track. Students will learn numbers and operations in base ten sequences and understand the place value system.
