The amount of educational content on the Internet is staggering. There is so much out there that the problem isn't finding resources but, rather, saving the resources you do find. This week IPTV Education focuses on ways for you to find, save, and share the best content out there.

A Literary Timeline

Grade Range: 6-8, 9-12

The Literary Timeline presents a broad overview of the concurrent lifetimes of major authors during the two hundred year period between 1800 and 2000. As you scroll through the Timeline, click on a name for more information about that author and his or her major works. This could be a great way to introduce students to authors to get them interested in outside reading projects.

Eye on Idioms

Grade Range: 3-5, 6-8

Eye on Idioms can be used to engage students in a study of seven idioms. After viewing the literal representation of each idiom, students are asked to complete the sentence by selecting the correct idiom from the list, then explain the metaphorical meaning.
