Be a Tourist in Your Town

Tourists flock to Charleston from all over the country (and around the world!) for its historical buildings, unparalleled culinary scene, southern charm and miles of beaches. But when was the last time you took a day to explore the beauty of downtown Charleston and experience all that the Holy City has to offer? This month is a great time to be a tourist in your own town--the Charleston Farmer's Market reopens at Marion Square on April 8th and the Festival of Houses and Gardens runs through the 22nd. Start your day as a "tourist" off with brunch at the Farmer's Market, followed by a morning history walk, and then grab lunch at one of Charleston's newest hot spots. Round out the day with an afternoon tour of a historic Charleston home or garden.

Finding Balance as a Family Caregiver

Being a family caregiver is physically and emotionally taxing. You may just be coming to terms with a loved one's recent diagnosis and find yourself having to take time off of work to take them to doctor's visits or care for them at home. You may have siblings you feel should be helping but aren't, or perhaps your loved one is suffering from dementia and you are watching the person you love deal with memory loss, anger, confusion and more. Regardless of how you became a family caregiver, there is no question that it is taking a toll on your personal well-being.

Finding a trusted in-home care company like Home Care Plus can be the answer you are looking for. Whether you need full-time help for your loved one while you work or just desperately need a few hours a week to take care of yourself, our compassionate, professional caregiving team can give you peace of mind--you'll know that your loved one is well cared for when you can't be there yourself. Give us a call today 843-628-3642!
