Finding One's Inner Sunroom Serenity

I had the pleasure of entering a rare retreat in the coastal area along Escambia Bay. Making way into our customer's sunroom, the light reflected and flickered from the pool to the ceiling of this sunroom sanctuary. A babbling water feature calmly bounced water from rock ledge to ledge. The cool breeze from the three oscillating fans almost made the room down right chilling. What a cool oasis to find!

Our customer shared, this space was originally a screen room that ended where the support columns are located in the room. The sunroom space was smoothly folded into the existing roofline with a brick knee wall to tie into the architecture of the home.

One surprise is this space faces south. Any good southerner loves to bask in this warm light, but knows it can cause a daily afternoon heatwave. Our customer was shocked at how much the vinyl, energy efficient windows retracted the sun's heat from entering the space. In fact, they don't even get a glare on their big screen television.

The only regret from these homeowners is..."We wish we had done this years ago!" The sunroom has become their most used space and they retreat here for peace and tranquility along with their two canine companions. Enjoying floral views, hearing trickling water, and viewing the natural light has done wonders for the soul. See a video of this tranquil space below.

Thank you for your question about your outdoor project. The site survey will help you determine IF you could place an addition to your home such as a sunroom, screen room, patio cover, or pergola. There are many factors to consider to make this a perfect fit. We will consider the location of utilities such as electrical service line, septic, and air conditioning unit. Consultants will measure the height of your home and ensure proper tie-in can be built to properly account for roof pitch. Further, your property details such as easements must be considered for size and footprint of the addition. Once we determine that a structure is feasible we can co-create a design that will not only allow you to enjoy the outdoors, but will look beautiful for years to come!
