Cost is $10 and reservations are a must. Stop at the UMW table in the Octagon on Sunday or call Josie Gobel at 920.988.0705 for more information.
Sunday Morning Curbside Greeters Wanted

Every week when you come to church there is someone to greet you and someone to open the door. We have a need for a few more people to be at the door from 8:30 - 9 a.m. or 10 - 10:30 a.m. each Sunday morning.

I would like to encourage you to join in this welcoming ministry. Please contact Dave Kinyon at [email protected] or 608.273.4646 and leave a message. I'll get back to you ASAP.

IRA Charitable Rollover
Do you still plan to make a contribution to the church this year? Here's some news:

On December 18, Congress passed legislation retroactively extending the charitable IRA rollover for 2015 and made this provision permanent for future years. For those aged 70½ or older, it is possible to make tax-favored charitable gifts up to $100,000 when transferred directly from traditional and/or Roth IRA accounts to one or more qualified charities such as First United Methodist Church or First United Methodist Church Foundation. These are free from federal income tax each year. There may also be state income tax savings. Amounts given in this way count toward required IRA minimum withdrawal amounts for the year of the gift.

If you wish to direct an IRA distribution to FUMC, contact your custodian soon, as it can take some time for these distributions to be processed.

If you are gifting stock, direct your custodian to transfer your stock to our account at:

When you make an IRA or stock gift to FUMC, please email or call us and let us know.
