is sponsoring a literature drop/canvass for two of our
staunchest supporters:
20th State Representative John Mayfield
and
28th State Representative Noel Torpey
Please come join your fellow Fire Fighters from Independence Local 781, CJC Local 3133, Greater Kansas City Local 42 and other Fire Fighters from across the State as we knock on doors for John Mayfield on Saturday October 11th in the 20th District, which covers parts of Independence, Blue Springs and Western Jackson County. We will serve lunch, beer and drinks upon completion of the walk.
Please join your fellow Fire Fighters again on Sunday as we knock on doors in the 28th District, which is eastern Kansas City, parts of Raytown and western Indepepndence for Noel Torpey. We will serve lunch, beer and drinks upon completion of the walk.

A little about John:
As a Pro 2nd Amendment, Pro Union Democrat, John fits his District well. He has stood up for Public Employees, Teachers, and Pension Protection time and time again. As a member of the legislature's Professional Registration and Licensing Committee, John has stood with Fire Fighters and EMS Workers on every issue that has come before him. John has stood with Public Safety when the Pay Check Deception legislation was moving through the Capital. Now he is being challenged by a Tea Party Republican who is no friend of Labor or Fire Fighters. We will need every Pro Public Safety vote we can muster over the next two years as the majority tries to turn back the clock on Pension Protection, Pay Check Protection and Safety Issues.

We are printing Fire Fighters for Mayfield and Fire Fighters For Torpey T-shirts, please send me your shirt size for each candidate that you plan to walk for. Please bring your spouses, older kids, girl and boy friends to the walk. This is important to the whole family.
