AWARDS & RECOGNITION
Congratulations to FCHCC Member, Andrea Reyes
FCHCC congratulates Andrea Reyes and all the members of the The Northeast Florida Immigrant Resource Alliance (NEFIRA) Board for their official launch and the fulfillment of this great dream. It was an honor for us to be part of this celebration as well as other local organizations.

The NEFIRA provides informational resources and assistance to immigrant individuals and families in need of community services.
Partnering with community leaders, local professionals, organizations and government agencies NEFIRA co-creates with immigrant individuals and families a pathway to be fully informed and live self-sufficient lives. NEFIRA supports immigrants on their pathway to stability so that they may then invest time and resources back in their own community, engage civically and vote. Learn more!
Southeastern Grocers Recognized with
Diversity & Inclusion Industry Icon Award
At Southeastern Grocers, we celebrate our diverse associates, customers and communities and cultivate an environment that champions inclusion and belonging within our company and the unique neighborhoods we serve. Last week, The Shelby Report, a leading food and grocery industry publication, announced the recipients of its second annual Diversity & Inclusion Industry Icon Awards. This award recognizes the most iconic leaders working to advance and uphold diversity and inclusion in the U.S. grocery industry. We were proud to be recognized for the second year as a grocer working to advance and uphold diversity, equity and inclusion.

We are proud to be recognized by The Shelby Report as an industry leader in belonging, inclusion and diversity. To celebrate diversity, SEG launched several initiatives to provide opportunities for associates to break barriers and push for equity, including hosting our first-ever We SEG Conference. The event offers educational and interactive insights on developing inclusive workplace environments and training for creating a culture of belonging.

In 2020, we established the Romay Davis Belonging, Inclusion and Diversity Grant Program to provide essential funding to organizations that support inclusivity and take meaningful action to help combat social injustice. Since the grant’s inception, we have provided 33 nonprofits with $385,000 to help address racial disparities in education, health care and food insecurity.

We observe and celebrate MLK Day, Black History Month, Juneteenth, Hispanic Heritage Month, Women’s History Month, Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, Pride Month and Veterans Day. Additionally, we supported and participated in four Pride festivals throughout our home state of Florida in 2021. SEG was also recognized by the National Diversity Council as a top employer for Latino leaders and is a proud member of the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce. We are grateful to all our associates who continue to champion our culture of belonging!
