Note from Youth Council on Wednesday Nights for the Youth:
For the next four weeks (
January 31) our youth will join the
Christ & Culture Adult Discipleship Forum for "Life and Faith in the Digital Age: Grasping Opportunities, Discerning Risks" in
We believe it is important for our students to interact with other generations. This will have life-long effects on their understanding of church membership and commitment to the church.
Many studies are showing that students, who are from good families and youth groups, are leaving the church after High School and College. One of the reasons for this is that students are not experiencing the whole life of the church. They only experience the youth group therefore they do not appreciate the church nor membershi. In the end, students find same-age relationships outside of the church.
Our church also values their opinions as well. Students are valuable members of the church CURRENTLY.
Please do not allow your student to treat these weeks as off-weeks. This decision was made intentionally for their good in mind.
