Happening in the Week Ahead
Police Accountability Explained
So what is the fuss about police accountability? Is it really a problem here in Rochester? Don't we already have a civilian review board?  Find answers to these questions at the Black Lives Matter/Youth Lives Matter Task Force presentation done in conjunction with Roc/ACTS this  Sunday, July 9 , 11:15am (following the church service) in the Youth Room. There is a new, serious proposal to address these concerns. For more information, email John Keevert.
Aging Gratefully and "Blessings in Disguise"
Aging Gratefully is a monthly discussion group open to anyone aged 60 and above that meets on the second Thursday of every month from 1:30 to 3:00pm to discuss a topic chosen by the group. We will meet Thursday, July 13 to discuss "Blessings in Disguise: Changes we had to make which had good outcomes."
For more information, email Garry Mount.
Summer Books Sales Begin
Once again, we will be selling books in the Susan B. Anthony Lounge before and after Sunday service.  Please bring in books to add to our selection.  No text books, magazines, home improvement or technical books, no children's books or coffee table books.  Needed are fiction, history, biographies, mysteries and light reading for the summer.

Open to Life's Gifts - Golf in the UU Open
There's nothing quite like the beauty of a golf course and the joy of hitting a ball long and straight. Well, there might be other things in life that might compare, but if you are among those who really enjoy the fun of being on a golf course with some great companions, stop by the table in the Lobby this Sunday and sign up for the UU Open. We'll be playing Parkview Fairways for 9 holes in a scramble format and then gathering for some fun awards and dinner together. For just $45 if you walk or $50 if you ride a cart, you can enjoy all of this on Sunday, July 16, starting at 1:00pm. If you have any questions, or need to sign up via email, don't hesitate to connect with this year's coordinator, Larry Eldridge.
Church Parking Lot Being Re-Paved
Our church parking lot is scheduled to be paved on Monday, July 17, with a rain date of Tuesday, July 18. Please note the parking lot will not be available during that time.
Food Cupboard Suggestion
See a "buy one get one free" sign? Consider giving the free one to the food cupboard. Lower summer church attendance means those who do come need to try harder. For questions or more information, email  Alison Wilder .
