We just finished up product reviews on about a half dozen new styles from FirstGear for the 2013 season. FirstGear continues to make great products for street riders. And the quality and value are hanging in there. I say "hanging in there" because with some brands, we've seen a bit of a decline in overall selection and quality since the economy declined, what, almost 4 years ago (hard to believe).
Anyway, I'm happy to report that FirstGear has stayed on track. They are improving the products ever so slightly and updating styles and colors.
For nearly every new style coming out this year, we have a comparable closeout. I've put together a summary of each style so you can see the old vs. new in a side-by-side comparison. I don't have to tell you that the availability of the closeouts is limited, and they are comparatively a great deal right now for those on a budget.

FirstGear Kenya Jacket for Men
The Kenya offers lots of pockets for commuters and touring riders, and also plenty of protection from the elements like a full sleeve thermal liner, a neck gator and zippered vents. These jackets are stuffed with features!  Kenya for 2013

FirstGear Rush Tex Jacket for Men
The Rush Tex is a simple street jacket that is made for street riders of any kind. It is made with an integral rain barrier that is sure to keep out water. You can layer underneath and make this a three season jacket. Like the previous version, the feature list of the 2013 version is simple in order keep down the cost. 
Two colors for 2013 in regular and tall sizes.

 The size and color selections on the closeout version is about half sold out. Black is available in Small, XL and XXL. Silver/Dk Grey is available in Med, Large, XXL and XXXL.  We bought a group of the tan jackets earlier in the year and have sold them down to just the XXL size (and just a couple XL or XXXL) and those are EXTRA specially priced at just $69.

FirstGear Mesh Tex Jacket for Men and Women
The Mesh Tex has been the "gold standard" in full mesh jackets for summer time. Out of all the brands we carry, I'm sure these are the best selling. Why? They offer a simple, but quality product that does a great job at flowing air.

 The Mesh Tex closeout is probably the best deal (comparatively speaking) of all the groups because the price is quite a bit lower and the differences in the jackets are very slight. We have a great selection still of sizes in the men's and women's groups. There are three colors offered and they are the same ones (shown here) for men or women:

Couple Quick Announcements:
 Our closeout deal on the AGV Monza Suits was winding down last week. We'd sold out more than half the closeout suits and some sizes and colors were sold out. Our vendor had misplaced a couple pallets of the suits at the beginning and we thought those were permanently MIA, but Tuesday, those pallets appeared on our doorstep. Fortunately, those two pallets had two or three of every size we were missing INCLUDING size 42, which was unavailable when most of you viewed this last week.
