STAFF UPDATES

Congratulations to Calum MacKay and Matthew Slater -Fish Tales staffers - who've just finished high school. Calum is off to University in the fall where he'll work toward an engineering degree. Matthew is taking some time off school so he can be on the water as much as possible.

SUMMER COURSES
Now that summer's officially begun we all want to make the most of the season.
If you're just getting started in fly fishing consider signing up for Fly Fishing Level 1. It's a thorough introduction to the sport - we'll have you casting 30 feet by the end of the day. We offer small classes with high student to teacher ratios -particularly for the casting session. Great value at $95 for the day - which includes lunch, a booklet to take home with you, and use of our gear for the course. Level II Fly Fishing courses are ideal for people who have logged some time on the water but want to improve their skills and success rate. Students need to be self-sufficient with knots, gear setup, etc. so we can focus on teaching you to read the water, roll cast a nymph rig, watch for rising fish, etc.... Course fee is $95 for the day. We recently added 3 new Level II dates.
Our Bug Identification classes (July 23) allow students to revert to childhood as they turn over rocks and look for critters. The 3-hour hands-on session is limited to 8 participants. Course fee is $35 per person. Private lessons can improve your fishing skills whether you're just starting out, looking to learn some basic spey casts, or working on nymphing or dry fly tactics. Book a private lesson and increase your odds.Lesson times are flexible to your schedule. Lesson fee is $50/hr for one or two people. |
