I recently read an old fable. A chicken farmer found an eagle's egg and put it in a nest with his chickens. The egg soon hatched and the little eaglet grew up with all the other chicks, doing whatever they did. She thought she was a chicken, just like them. The chickens could only fly a short distance, so the eagle also learned to do the same. She stayed on the ground and flew only short distances because she thought that was all she
do. One day, the eagle saw a bird flying high above and asked the hens, "Who is that?" They answered, "That's the eagle, the king of the birds. He belongs to the sky and we belong to the earth because we are just chickens." So, the eagle continued living as a chicken and she died as a chicken, for that is all she thought she was.
The moral to the story? Mindset is a very powerful thing.
As Henry Ford once said, "If you think you can do a thing or think you can't do a thing, you're right."
So, why scratch around for chicken feed when you can fly like an eagle?
The only thing holding you down is YOU!
