On September 29th, you will see improvements in automatic email delivery in Flexmls.

These changes are part of FBS's ongoing commitment to minimize the number of emails blocked by spam filters, helping to ensure that automatic notifications of new listings reach their intended recipients. This update will minimize blocked emails, and helps you in providing the best service to your clients.

Understanding the need for this update is just a small part of the big picture. Read below to see how the changes will play out in Flexmls, and make sure you are knowledgeable of how things will work moving forward.
  • New Terminology: Flexmls will no longer use the terminology "Automatic E-mail." Moving forward, automatic notifications of new listings will be known as Subscriptions. Click here for more information.
  • Mandatory Opt-In: Users must opt-in for listing updates to begin.  There is a one-time confirmation e-mail where new recipients must click to confirm that the message was received at a valid email address. Contacts in Flexmls who already receive automatic emails will continue receiving notification without a break in continuity. Click here for more information.
  • New Expiration Rules: Email notifications still continue indefinitely if they are being actively clicked and viewed, but they will expire after 90 days if no notification email has been clicked on. Because the notifications require an opt-in, there is no longer an option for you to extend the email beyond this time.
  • Improved Visual Design: Although subscription email notifications sent to your contacts will function the same as automatic emails currently do, the emails will have a new, updated look. The name of the search will appear at the top of the email, functioning as a title.

Keep your eye out for future emails, and mark your calendars for these improvements on September 29th.
