FLOOD RELIEF EFFORT
Help us provide food and shelter for our Terrier Rouge community.
At 4:00 am this morning, we received this message from Pere Bruno in Haiti:

This is an emergency call. As you have seen on Facebook, part of Terrier Rouge is under water. It has been raining for two days and the area is completely flooded. Some places are worse than others. In a small place called Village of Food for the Poor, we had to move every soul to the public high school in town, used as temporary shelter.  Yesterday, Esprance et Vie (our partner NGO) intervened immediately by providing 350 hot lunches to those who are in the shelters. We also supplied water and blankets. As the waters have increased more people are seeking refuge at the high school. Last night the number reached 500. The direct victims of the flood are estimated to a thousand. It is a question of survival now. Any help will be most appreciated.

Please donate to Bethlehem Ministry's emergency relief fund today by clicking on the GIVE button below.  Your donation is critically important, not only to help provide food and shelter, but to help us prevent the spread of cholera, malaria, and typhoid that remains a threat in these situations.  Thank you and as always please keep Haiti in your prayers

Handing out food.
6 students
Pere Bruno has been coordinating the food distribution efforts, delivering food to families stranded by flood waters.

Here, boxes of food are given to those who otherwise would not have access.

Of the 80 pre-K students enrolled at St. Bart's, only 6 were able to attend school on Friday.
