November 2, 2015

November is a time for remembrance and a time to give thanks, but it's also a time when many Florida citizens don't know where their next meal might come from.

The focus of this month's newsletter is on providing access to food banks and food pantries as well as other hunger-related resources.

America's White Table

America's White Table is a salute to veterans of the United States Armed Forces, specifically those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country. It is normally conducted on Veteran's Day (November 11) and can be displayed throughout the week.

Although the items necessary to perform this memorial are quite easy to find, they all have significant and symbolic messages behind them. With this simple display, libraries can honor the veterans in their communities while also bringing attention to online government services for veterans.

Find more details on the Veterans Caucus website.
