Floyd Valley Community Health has been recognized as a Superior Performer through the annual SHPBest™ program, created to acknowledge home health agencies that consistently provide high quality service to their patients. With the largest HHCAHPS benchmark in the nation, SHP is in a unique position to identify and recognize organizations that have made patient satisfaction a priority and have been rewarded for their efforts with high marks on the HHCAHPS survey.
SHPBest award recipients are determined by ranking the overall score for all SHP HHCAHPS clients. The Overall Score is a proprietary quality measure that is calculated by taking scores from 19 questions on the HHCAHPS survey that are part of the 5 publicly reported quality measures on Home Health Compare. Providers that rank in the top 20% receive the Superior Performer award.

Through a donation from the Floyd Valley Foundation, Floyd Valley Surgery Center now has the state-of-the-art
Hana ® Othopedic surgical table. This table is specifically designed to enable surgeons to perform a variety of fracture and orthopedic procedures including the anterior approach for total hip replacements and hip arthroscopy.
With its unique capability for leg and body position, surgeons are able to work on lower extremities with greater precision through control, manipulation and traction. For example, a surgeon would be able to perform a hip replacement through a short single incision without detaching muscles from surrounding areas. Patients have shorter recovery periods and less pain.
Mike Donlin, Administrator, comments, "Some people may suspect the Hana table is some sort of
'medieval interrogation device', but I assure you it's a state-of-the-art tool for our orthopedic surgeons to care for more patients right here at home!"
