Infusion Center Updated
Floyd Valley Infusion Center
For our patient's comfort, Floyd Valley Healthcare recently remodeled our Infusion Center. Located in the Emergency Department corridor, our dedicated nurses deliver compassionate, expert, patient-centered care and help make you as comfortable as possible.  Recent improvements include:
  • Private, heated massage chairs with your own television
  • Space for family to be with you during treatment
  • Additional comfort items such as heated blanket, drinks or snacks are available.
Our Infusion Center provides services including:
  • Pre-medications (e.g., anti-nausea, anti-inflammatory, diphendydramine, antiemetics)
  • Chemotherapy medications
  • Biotherapy medications
  • General IV fluids
  • Iron infusion
  • Therapeutic phlebotomy services
  • Central line care
When you arrive at the Infusion Center for your first infusion therapy treatment, you'll check in at the East Lobby.  Our nurses will escort you back, take your vitals and make sure you receive your treatment as promptly as possible.

The Foundation was happy to contribute to the cost of the project through the generosity of donors during the annual spring appeal.  The campaign provided over $5,000 to assist in the Infusion Center renovations.
A Serene Oasis
Floyd Valley Courtyard facing south.
In 2016, a mural was completed in the south courtyard marking the 50th anniversary of Floyd Valley Healthcare. Plans also included an area of serenity for patients, families and the community. Over $68,000 was raised with generous support from various donors in addition to community support through fundraising events including:
  • Holiday Appeals in 2016 and 2017
  • Gilchrist Foundation
  • An Evening in the Garden Party Beer and Wine Tasting Event
Ground Effects Landscaping architect, Andrea Langel, created the design concept and her company was awarded the bid to make the garden a reality. Now complete, the garden features various interesting plants, a water fountain with bridge and many places to sit, the South Courtyard is a beautiful place to set aside your worries and enjoy nature. Patients in rooms 14 - 22 (which includes post-partum rooms) will enjoy the view from their window, but all are welcome to enjoy the space.

The garden is located on the south side of the hospital.  The courtyard is east of the patient floor and west of the Emergency Department cooridor. Plans are underway for an "open garden" in July, please stay tuned for more information.
