March 24, 9:15am - 2pm 

Explore El Dorado County Gold Rush history and many other fun facts as we take a trip back in time. Tour of the El Dorado County Historical Museum and enjoy a no-host lunch on Main Street. Registration deadline: 3/10. The $21 fee includes transportation. Registration Information.

CSD Junior Water Polo Clinic
Sundays, March 5 - April 30, 10am - 12pm

Water Polo is an exciting, face-paced game that incorporates athletic elements from soccer, basketball, football, rugby, wrestling, and of course, swimming. Participants will learn basic skills and strategies of Water Polo including: ball control, passing, shooting, game plays and set-up.

Girls Pajama Party             girls 3+ with "Mommy"
Friday, April 28, 6-8:30pm in the CSD Gym

Our 4th Annual Mother Daughter night is sure to be a crowd pleaser! Stations will be set up around the gym to pick and choose what you want to do with your daughter (paint nails, arts & crafts, take photos, and more) plus some classic Pajama Party junk food while we watch a classic movie.

Firefly Art                                   grades K - 5th
Starts on March 1, 2 & 7 at various locations

Firefly Art lets your child's inner artist shine whether your child is the "can't keep enough paper in the house" artist or the "not done until it's perfect"artist! We put memories on paper, encourage risk taking, problem solve, explore different subjects, and inspire each child to SHINE in their own, unique way. Quality art supplies included.

HoneyCode Video Game Design   grades 3 - 6
Mondays, March 6 - May 22, 2:20-3:20pm

Students will learn beginning programing using Scratch to develop skills in problem solving, sequencing and logic. We will use Makey Makeys to program and build a hands-on interactive games, as well as engage in unplugged programming challenges. All students will take home a USB drive of their Scratch projects. St. Patrick's Day Bash at the Gilmore Center 
March 17, 1pm                                                      FREE

Come one, come all to the annual St. Patrick's Day Gilmore Senior Center celebration. Rumor has it Leprechauns will be on the loose spreading good fortune and cheer. Live music by Lisa. Call (916) 358-3575 to reserve your spot.

Country Line Dancing
Thursdays, March 2 - 30, 5:30-6:30pm

Country Line Dancing is a fun way to get exercise. While many start out with the intention of taking a session of classes for four tweeks, many more find themselves becoming addicted to line dancing because they love the music, the confidence that grows from mastering a dance, and the friendships that start to form. It's also a great way to dance socially without a dance partner. Fee: $44. Registration Information.

Watch the New Fence Project Grow!

With the help of volunteers from Eagle Scouts, Oak Ridge High School Interact Club, Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, Fire Department, Blue Shield and Bowman's Archery Club a new split rail fence will be constructed along the trail between the Bowman's Archery Range and El Dorado Hills Boulevard. The old wire fence will be replaced with a fresh split rail fence in the coming months.  Show your appreciation to these volunteers by tooting your horn and say "Hello" as they work on this project. 

How Do You Retire an American Flag?

Do you have a tattered American flag? A Flag Retirement Box is now available in the Norm Rowett Pavilion Building. This is a place where people can properly dispose of American flags. Ben Gross, of Boy Scout Troop 454, built the Flag Retirement Box as his Eagle Scout project. Boy Scout Troop 454 will retire flags respectfully and properly in the Ceremony of the Eternal Flame. Everyone is welcomed and encouraged to make use of the Flag Retirement Box!
