Check out the update from the Legislative Fall Forum held Oct. 5 in this issue. About 70 ILF members discussed and prioritized principles, legislative priorities and strategies for the year. The Legislative Committee will recommend the priority agenda to the ILF Board.

 Update on ESSA
Many ILF members have advocated for inclusion of effective school library programs in the state’s plan to implement the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). The Indiana Department of Education continues input sessions through Oct. 12 and intends to release the draft plan by January.  Read more
