A Word from the Pastor
9 & 11 a.m. in Sanctuary
Jesus' statement, "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me will live even though they die," is one that I have said at every funeral I've officiated. There is comfort knowing that death will not separate us from our loved ones. Is this statement inspiring and comforting to those who are not grieving? The idea of resurrection was relatively a new one in Jewish theological history. Sunday we explore this text  to understand why the idea of resurrection was such a liberating concept at that time and what  Jesus meant by asking us to believe in him.

The Open Door Service · 11 a.m. in Hickey Hall
We turn the page this Sunday to Jesus' farewell to the disciples. He knows what he has to do, and he knows his fate. Join us Sunday as we examine how Jesus began to say goodbye to his disciples knowing that he was on the road to suffering. See you Sunday.
