Child Foundation is once again launching its One Thousand Baskets for One Thousand Families initiative. While Child Foundation is not a religious organization, many of Child Foundation’s students are located in countries that observe Ramadan, the month of fasting. Ramadan is also a time for charity and acts of selflessness. In this spirit, the Thousand Baskets for One Thousand Families program aims to help provide these families with their dietary needs during this time where food prices are often higher than what most families can afford.

The cost of a food basket for a family of 2-4 is $45 and for a larger family is $75. Regardless of faith and belief, human compassion and generosity is a theme that we all can agree on. We invite you to help these families by sponsoring a food basket.

Child Foundation’s Director of Administration, Reza Eshghi is currently in Iran for our annual auditing of local operations. He has visited some of the 82 Conex units we have purchased and delivered through your kind donations. He has provided a video of his visits about the quality of conexes we have purchased.
Mohammad Hossein is an eight year old student from the city of Qom. His family has succumbed to social problems and his father is no longer in his life. Despite his illness and the difficulties that he and his mother face, he pursues his studies with great motivation and does well in school. Mohammad Hossein would like to see his mother, who works hard to provide for him, happy. Our future needs a healthy and successful Mohammad Hossein.
Upon reviewing Mohammad Hossein's case, Child Foundation is honored to grant this talented student with a monthly scholarship of $63 to allow him to pursue his education. Join us in creating a better tomorrow and lowering compulsory school dropout rates.

Mental Health Hero
Congratulations to Dr. Peyman Raoofi, former Child Foundation President, for being the recipient of the 2018 Mental Health Heroes Award from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

Dr. Raoofi holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology and is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Los Angeles County Psychological Association, and the Board of Iranian Psychological Association of America.
