Your Story Matters! Celebrate It!
The GGRWHC Equality Day event 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Tuesday, August 26, will highlight area women's experiences with Title IX. Next to the StoryCorps van outside GRAM, we will tape brief accounts of the ways, large and small, this legislation has affected our individual lives. Since 1972 Title IX has prohibited sex discrimination in all federally funded education programs and activities, not just athletics as is the common belief.

large limestone structure overlooking the waters of the Erie Canal system, will be restored to create a permanent home for the National Hall of Fame Hall and a vibrant state-of-the-art educational venue for future generations.
Governor Cuomo of New York said, "As the birth place of the Women's Rights Movement, there is no community more appropriate than Seneca Falls to house the Center for Great Women and the National Women's Hall of Fame, which will honor the trailblazers that continue to inspire women across the globe."
The National Women's Hall of Fame was founded in 1969 and has inducted 247 women into the Hall of Fame. For a full list of inductees and their biographies and for information about joining the National Women's Hall of Fame, visit its

It is anticipated that the renovation of the site will be completed by 2017.
