Temple Israel Community Room

When asked to redesign the Community Room at Temple Israel in Croton on Hudson, I quickly said yes! Having lived and worked in the area for over 16 years I wanted to give back to the community by giving them something beautiful to enjoy. The Temple has about 350 families in Westchester as members that will all enjoy this new multi-use space.   VIEW ALL PHOTOS
The original room was wall to wall wood paneling and old window treatments stuck in the 60's. There were several unused closets and sagging bookshelves on almost every wall. After careful planning and approvals from the Temple board of directors, we designed a beautiful room plan. The space will now be used for educational movies with the new projection system, social gatherings such as religious discussions and book clubs, to social coffee/food gatherings with the aid of a new Galley Kitchen.
The furniture was specified to easily be moved around the room as needed since each item is lightweight, and the rounded chairs have casters. The kitchen cabinetry was designed to work with the beauty of the wood grain seen in the wall at the end of the room, yet not visually compete. The kitchen cabinetry was imported from Portugal and its finish is actually man-made to look like wood, and is very durable.
The color palette and textures were chosen for their timeless style and to seamlessly transition with the decor in other parts of the beautiful Temple structure.  VIEW ALL PHOTOS

New Testimonial:  C. Patel

My husband and I searched for a while to find the perfect fit for our home redesign. When we met Denise we knew she was going to be that person! She does an amazing job listening to everything you describe and turning that into your dream look and design. She did a complete kitchen redesign with an open concept that was amazing. She has excellent taste and would be someone to go to for a small or large project.
