Welcome Spring! Ok I know it's hard to think Spring when you may live in a part of the country where snow is still falling. Here in the Santa Cruz area we are finally seeing rain! If you're like me you're beyond ready to fix up your outdoor spaces and plant your gardens. Even if Winter weather is abounding it's still a great time to think about growth in gardens, ourselves, our businesses, and our homes.  
Easy Bathroom Upgrades
 

Wish you could remodel your existing bathroom but it's just not in the budget this year? Here are a few ideas to make your bathroom a little nicer.

 

 

 
  • Paint the walls and baseboards 
  • Stain or paint worn cabinetry & add hardware 
  • Add a shower curtain with a fun print
  • Add cool accessories and plants 
  • Get fresh rugs and towels 
  • Update towel bars and the TP holder
  • Add decorative switch/receptacle plates 
  • Hang artwork
  • Replace out dated light fixtures
  • Replace out dated faucets  
  • Scrub sinks and toilet with a pumice stone, vinegar & baking soda to remove stains  
  • Re-caulk tub as needed 
  • Be sure to plan your design so that all these elements are coordinated and work as best as possible with existing tile and counter tops 
Well Oiled Machine

 

Laptops make working from almost anywhere  possible. However, do you ever find yourself not fully completing a task because you are away from your printer, file drawer, notes, client file, etc?

 

Being efficient in my work means I need to have my work space set up to serve my needs, expedite my projects or tasks, and allow completion of tasks.

 

Having the ability to print, file, open, shred, forward, scan, and note all in one swoop is important. I recommend giving yourself an office space audit to see what missing elements in your space may be holding you back in creating a smooth, efficient working environment.  

 

For instance, does your printer get piled high with papers that need filing? Does your email inbox remain full with month old emails because something needs to be completed before you can delete? Does your "mail to shred" pile topple over because you don't have a shredder or it's in another room? Does your work suffer because notes are not put in client files or appointments in your calendar?  

 

Spring is a great time to oil that machine so that you can continue into this year organized and productive.

So tangled thoughts often in life
Strangle peace and promote strife.
