TIP FOR A GREAT WORK WEEK
Focus on Strengths

Strengths are positive character traits, talents, attributes and virtues. Substantial workplace research demonstrates that attempting to build upon the natural, existing strengths of employees is much more effective than trying to shore-up weaknesses. Managers are in a unique position to assist their employees with identifying strengths and using them on a day-to-day basis. Employees who focus on strengths at work tend to have higher engagement and productivity, while also having fewer sick days and health-related expenses.

To get in touch with your own strengths, consider the free, scientifically validated online assessment offered by the VIA Strengths Institute. Those of you in leadership or human resources positions may consider implementing the Gallup's Clifton StrengthsFinder assessment throughout your organization.
