Gary Kinder is a 10-time US National Track and Field Team member and 1988 Olympic Trials Decathlon Champion. For the past eighteen years Kinder has been coaching athletes from all over the world to the highest levels of international competition. He's coached 14 Olympians, 20+ NCAA All-Americans, and in the past eight years his athletes have won an amazing 84 individual state track and field titles in the state of Tennessee.

Kinder spent four years at the University of Virginia where he coached both the men's and women's track teams. While at UVA, he and the other coaches on staff were awarded Atlantic Coast Conference Coach of the Year Honors on three occasions. Prior to leading Virginia into the national spotlight Kinder spent three years at his Alma Mater, the University of New Mexico where he coached 12 of his athletes to gather All-American status for their accomplishments on the track and in the field.

Kinder attributes much of his success in coaching to his mentor and friend, Daley Thompson, two-time Olympic decathlon Champion from Great Britain. Thompson is regarded by many experts as one of the world's all-time greatest competitors in any sport. The two met while training in Irvine, CA in 1986 to 1988. Kinder was invited to England in the summers to live and train in London with the English national team. The result was staggering as Kinder ranked in the top three among American decathletes for the next three seasons, and collected ten United States National Team jerseys. Kinder brought home the ultimate title of being the 1988 United Sates Olympic Trials Decathlon Champion.

That's the type of training he now provides his athletes through Kindersport Elite Athletics. His expertise has garnered his athletes an astounding 31 National Championships, and 116 All-American honors in the past ten years.

Kindersport Elite Athletics is currently accepting applications for tryouts for their elite training program for the 2015-16 academic school year and winter youth development programs will begin registration this fall. Visit www.kindersportonline.com for details.
