New review for KEF Reference 1

KEF speakers are wonderful. I am very happy with the sound at every price point. The $650 Q300 are so good. The R series could be the stopping spot for many happy music lovers. I would not suggest listening to the LS50, unless you want to take them home.
Open House -  Jan 13, 7pm-10pm

 

Thanks to every one for the great party at the last Open house! It was a big success. Many happy emails and phone calls. It seems it's more fun to talk to real audio enthusiasts than reading web advice. The banter was so loud the demo was drowned out. So I have some bigger speakers and amps this time! Please come by.


 

We may explore the idea of DAC vs Turntable. I would like to get your input on the Parasound Zamp. I will also have the same KEF Reference 3 setup with Parasound amps (same Signature 10 and Quicksilver phono pre).

Northern Colorado Audio Club? Or something?
The Open house may evolve into a club -  This would be a chance for folks to gather and discuss a multitude of audio interests, such as recording, designing, building, refurbishing, and listening to tubes, solid state, analog, digital or downloaded music. Just an excuse to get together and enjoy and share what "audiophile" means to each of us. We hope that there will be an emphasis on music of all genres, new and old.
