As work continues on the Comprehensive Master Plan and final edits are made to a post-charrette newsletter, we would like to share some resources regarding trends expected to affect the real estate market in the new year.

Click here to read an article published in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette on December 24 citing a new report from the National Association of Realtors that states "members of the silent or greatest generation - those born before 1944 - also prefer smaller homes in neighborhoods with easy walks to shops and restaurants," in addition to the millennial generation's interest in walkable communities.

Click here to read excerpts from the December 2017/January 2018 Bowden's Market Barometer which opines that in 2018, "the housing industry is the bright shiny thing everyone has their eye on as both existing home sales and new home sales (and their respective median prices) continue to rise."
The next meeting of the Ad Hoc Comprehensive Master Plan has been scheduled for Monday, January 29, at 3 p.m. The meeting will be held in a webinar format, and everyone is invited to watch it online. A link to register to attend/observe this meeting will be distributed next week.
